"I Want To Be Like My Mother"—Omotola’s Daughter Speaks (PHOTO)

Apart for few eccentric stars like Tonto Dikeh, Charly Boy and few others, who don’t mind about controversies, others try to protect their names and brands to attract endorsements and good image.

For Omotola Jalade-Ekeinde, she has had her own fair share of negative and dirty stories written about her person. From a controversial picture taken at the Grammy Awards few years ago to her alleged s*x scandal with Sifax boss, Taiwo Afolabi.

Even recently, some rumour mongers alleged that the prominent movie star got N10 million from Afolabi to do her birthday celebration. This, the Ondo State-born screen diva has vehemently denied.

Speaking recently, the first daughter of one of the world’s most 100 influential person named Princess said she doesn’t feel bad about some negative and dirty stories written about her superstar mother in the media.

According to Princess, when asked how she feels to be the daughter of a popular movie star, “It feels great, amazing and nice to be part of something very big and successful. I really thank God for making me part of her family and her person. I am really happy.”

Speaking further on if she feels bad about negative stories written about her mother, Omotola’s daughter simply said, “no, every moment has been meaningful and I am very grateful for every moment I have had with my mum.”

On whether she would take after her mum’s trade, “yes, I would,” was her answer.

CALABAR — A  42-year-old Cameroonian lady who gave her name as Evelyn Atemkeng was, Wednesday, arrested  in Calabar with  a three-day-old baby she allegedly bought for N1.2 million.

Mrs Atemkeng accompanied by her 70-year-old mother, Anastasia Fambong, was said to have bought the baby boy from a matron of a clinic in Delta State into whose account she paid the N1.2 million.

Commander of the Cross River State Immigration Command,  Mr Samuel Ichoi, who ordered the arrest of the woman told Vanguard in his office that his men accosted the lady while boarding a ship to Cameroon and after interrogation, she confessed that she bought the baby.

He said: “The lady came from Cameron on Friday without any sign of pregnancy but this morning (Wednesday) she was found to be carrying a baby and when my men examined her there were no signs that she just gave birth, so she and the baby were  apprehended.”

According to Igoche, the lady also claimed that in May last year, she was given some herbs at Okigwe where she “miraculously gave birth to a baby girl who is now in Cameroon.”

However, the lady who said she is a teacher in the North-West region of Cameron told Vanguard that she gave birth to the baby and that N1.2 million she paid into the account of the matron was for delivery and herbs she gave to her to aid delivery.

She said: “She (matron) said my breast would start producing milk in three weeks but for now the baby is taking baby food.”

According to her, she does not have anybody in Cameroon to take care of her, that was why she came to Nigeria to deliver before returning to her country.

“I am married and my husband is in Cameroon but there is nobody to take care of me in Cameroon, that was why I came to Nigeria to deliver,” she said.

The Anti Human Trafficking Officer of the Nigeria Immigration Service at the Calabar Port, Mrs Agbor Ojong Ogar,  said she took time to examine the woman and she does not have any  sign that she just gave birth.

She said: “The woman passed here on Friday, she left on Saturday and returned to Calabar  on Tuesday and was heading back to Cameron with a baby and when we examined her she does not have any sign of  having given birth recently.”

CAUGHT IN THE ACT: Gay Arrested, Beaten To a Pulp In Ogun State (PHOTO)

There was chaos at Kotodayo community in Ota, Ogun State after a young man, simply identified as Sadiq was alleged to be gay and beaten up.

The incident happened at 1 Kotodayo in the Iyana-Iyesi area of Ota after Sadiq’s friend, Ibrahim (surname withheld), allegedly raised the alarm declaring that his male organ had disappeared.
According to Ibrahim, who was seen naked before some men, Sadiq had paid him a visit last night and deep into the night, he began to have sex with him.
When P.M.NEWS visited the scene, Ibrahim’s penis was of normal size, but he was making efforts to make it turgid as a proof that it was fully restored.
Ibrahim, who is also a squatter in the house, alleged that it was the first time Sadiq would be visiting him. Though they have been friends for some time now, Ibrahim said he never knew his friend was gay until last night.
Sadiq, in a confessional statement to local vigilantes at the scene of the incident, said he has been homosexual for the past three years.
He denied snatching his friend’s male organ, but said he had engaged only men in sex since then and further indicted a prophet whose white garment church is within the community as the one who prepared the concoction with which he engages in the act.
However, the prophet, who was invited by the vigilantes, denied the allegation.
He said he had known Sadiq as one who never chased after women and did not know that the man was gay.
Neighbours said that the owner of the one-room apartment where the incident occurred lives and works in Lagos and only visits the place at weekends.
Sadiq was later whisked away by the vigilantes after much plea to stop beating him was rebuffed by the people of the area.
Nigeria is not in support of gay practice no wonder a bill has been approved setting 14-year-jail term for offenders.

Newborn Calf Has 8 Legs, 4 Ears, 2 Bodies And One Head

Newborn Calf Has 8 Legs, 4 Ears, 2 Bodies And One Head. A cow in New Zealand has delivered a deformed calf who has two bodies, four ears, and eight legs on Monday.

A veterinarian of dairy farm, Neil Davy, who delivered the stillborn calf , told the website NZ Farmer that if he hadn’t been there, the mother cow would have surely died.

Davy told the site that he’d originally thought he was delivering twins. Close enough: identical twins come from one egg that divides, and veterinarian Jonathan Spencer told NZ Farmer that Davy’s calf “[seems] like an incomplete divide of an egg.”

Other odd deformities have been known to occur in cattle.

In 2012, a calf with an extra pair of legs was born in Switzerland. Although vets didn’t initially think the six-legged cow had much chance of survival, the calf seemed to be doing just fine at two months old.

In January 2011, a two-headed cow was born in Georgia. The farmer said that the animal ate with both heads

Breaking News: Egypt court orders Hosni Mubarak freed

An Egyptian court has ordered the release of former president Hosni Mubarak, according to security sources. The 85-year-old is being retried on charges of ordering the killing of protesters during the 2011 uprising that led to his downfall.
However, he has already served out the maximum amount of pretrial detention permitted in that case.

Mubarak was sentenced to life in prison last year for failing to prevent the killing of demonstrators. But a court accepted his appeal earlier this year and ordered a retrial. A lawyer told a source that he could be freed on Thursday.Leaving the Cairo prison where the court convened, Fareed El-Deeb said: "The court decided to release him." Asked when, he said: "Maybe tomorrow."The ailing former president probably has no political future. But many Egyptians would see his release as the rehabilitation of an old order that endured through six decades of military-backed rule - and even a reversal of the pro-democracy revolt that toppled him.
At least 900 people, including 100 soldiers and police, have been killed in a crackdown on Mohamed Morsi's Muslim Brotherhood in the past week, making it Egypt's bloodiest civil episode in decades.

Two Students Bag Three Months Sentence Each For Stealing I-Phone, Blackberry Phones

court 1. An Abuja Magistrates’ Court in Life-Camp on Wednesday sentenced Paul Emmanuel and Mustapha Abubakar to three months in prison for stealing an I-Phone and Blackberry cell-phones valued at N265,000.
Emmanuel, 18, and Abubakar, 23, claimed they are students who reside in Gwarimpa Estate, Abuja.
The magistrate, Alhaji Abdulateef Abolaji, sentenced them after they pleaded guilty to the two counts of joint act and theft.
Abolaji, however, gave them an option to pay a fine of N3,000 each.
“They confessed to stealing the cell phones and have not given sufficient cause why they should not be convicted.
“They have to serve the jail term or pay the fine to serve as a deterrence to others like them,” he said.
Abolaji warned the convicts to desist from a life of crime, saying that the court would not be lenient with them if they appeared again for any criminal offence.
Earlier, the police prosecutor, Cpl. Friday Idi, told the court that convicts stole the cell-phones, belonging to Alhaji Musa Abdulrahim of Maitama, Abuja on Aug. 15.
He said that the two convicts pretended to be assisting Abdulrahim, whose car fell into a ditch when they stole the phones.
The prosecutor said that the convicts were arrested by the police and they confessed to committing the crime upon interrogation.
Idi said that the two phones were later recovered from them. (NAN)

Kidnappers Kill Policeman In Delta, Seize His Gun

Suspected kidnappers on Tuesday shot dead a policeman in Obiaruku area of Delta State and seized his rifle. They, however, escaped with bullet wounds, abandoning six persons, including the vice chair of Uhumnwonde Local Government Council, Edo State, Mr. Walter Aiwekhoe, who they had earlier abducted, following a gun battle with men of the Special Anti-Kidnap team of the Delta State Police Command.

Vanguard learnt that the kidnap/robbery gang struck in Edo state,  where they kidnapped the six persons, at about 10.00 am, along Ekpoka-Igbanke road, and entered into Delta state with their captives in two vehicles, a Sienna space bus and Primera car.

Commissioner of Police, Delta State, Mr. Ikechukwu Aduba, who confirmed the killing of the policeman and rescue of the six victims to Vanguard on Tuesday night, said, “The policeman was killed in a separate incident by the robbers/kidnappers,  who fired indiscriminately.”

It was gathered that the deceased policeman was in a vehicle handling another case of pipeline vandalization when the suspected kidnappers sighted and shot him.

According to Aduba, “The Special Anti-Kidnap team in Delta state went after the gang when they entered Delta state and a gun duel ensued, forcing them to beat a retreat, abandoning their six victims.”

“While escaping, they opened fire indiscriminately and a policeman, who was on a different assignment, was hit and his rifle carted away,” he said.

Aduba asserted, “Manhunt is on, the daredevil robbers/kidnappers escaped, the policeman died before help could reach him, we have spread our dragnet to nab the hoodlums.”

A source told Vanguard, “A woman and her children were among the six victims, she driving in a KIA Sorento car when she was abducted with her kids
